What Inspired this Book?

Picture
'Engaged to a Stranger' is the story of Maggie Lindenberg, a wealthy socialite who allows other people to push her into things she has no interest in.

When readers meet Maggie, her mother has bullied her into a career that she doesn't want to have anything to do with and a stranger named Brian has talked her into a potential romance that she's very skeptical of.

One of the major themes in this story is learning how to say no and stand up for one's self.

This is challenging for Maggie because, like a number of women, she was taught to be a people-pleaser.

The idea for this story was born back in 2011, when I published a book of short stories and Maggie Lindenberg was a main character in one of the stories.

I recently re-read her story and decided it needed a refresh.

The revised book is not quite completed yet, but hopefully it will be available on Amazon very soon.
If you'd like a sneak peek at the first chapter of 'Engaged to a Stranger,' feel free to drop me a line and I'll send it to you by email.

Thanks for hanging around to see what's going on this month!

Best,
Paula
