Hi Friends!
Happy February!!
How is this month going for you so far? Have you started any new books or writing projects of your own? Are you looking forwards to Valentine's Day? Or is it a day you choose to ignore? : )
Personally, I've never celebrated Valentine's Day, but I can definitely see the appeal of setting aside a special day for all things romance.
Speaking of romance, these days I'm using as much time as I can (when I'm not working at my new 9-5 or re-watching Breaking Bad on Netflix for the millionth time) working on my latest romance novel, "Engaged to a Stranger." It's taking a long time because my main characters keep maturing. They're like kids, you just can't stop them from growing up!
When I first started writing "Engaged to a Stranger" the main character, Maggie Lindenberg, was a snobby, self-centered socialite who was difficult to get along with. Months later, she is now a shy aristocrat who has so much empathy for others that she wants to devote her life to caring for the homeless.
Huge change.
Maggie basically went from Gwyneth Paltrow to Princess Diana.
Her love interest also underwent a huge change, which may involve him having autism spectrum disorder. So, these character evolutions have affected "Engaged to a Stranger's" writing/publishing timeline.
Hopefully (and this is a big ol "hopefully") the book will be ready for you to read by late March.
So that's what's happening on my end.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check in, and if you want to chat, feel free to hit me up in the "Comments" section, which is just below this month's "Activities/News" section!
Hope you have a happy February!
Much Love,
Paula
