Actors Needed!
My name is Paula Jones and I’m an author from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I’m creating this post because I'd like to turn some of my novels into films for online consumption, which requires the expertise of actors.
To be transparent, I have limited financial resources and limited experience when it comes to filmmaking. But every creative needs to start somewhere, and this marks the start of my journey.
This short film will be my first. It’s based on a script I wrote called I’m Totally Fine. The lead character is Tiara Brown, a young woman in her 20’s from a fictional town in Louisiana. Audiences meet Tiara as she struggles to maintain a positive attitude while navigating racism and its long-term impact on her self-esteem.
The film is unofficially PG as it does not contain profanity, nudity, violence, or sexual references.
Actors who participate will receive $20/hour. However, as this is a very short film, its total production/shooting time will likely be less than three hours. This means most actors will receive between $20-$60 for this gig.
